Sabah :: 20 August 2012 :: Menara Tun Mustapha, 1 Borneo, & Cititel Express Hotel @ Kota Kinabalu

At around 12.30pm we reached a temple...Buddhist temple, but I didn't know the temple's name since I'm Chinese illiterate. So here are some pics taken from the temple...

After visiting the temple....next destination is Menara Tun Mustapha. Tour guide told us that this tower is the highest tower in BORNEO.... 32 storey in total. And I heard...this tower can rotate...is that true?

From 1pm - 3pm.. we are visiting 1 Borneo....the biggest shopping mall in KK?

2 hours in 1 Borneo but actually was only 1 hour =.=". Chun Yan was busying with the token car. She was playing it for about an hour XD.

Below....the Phoenix and Dragon statue are the welcome statue in 1 Borneo....the one placed at nearby the main entrance....just when you walk-in to 1 Borneo...you will direct notice these 2 statues there.

Another decoration in the mall...golden year.... This year 2012 is dragon year anyway :D

Here in 1 Borneo... the first shop I visited was Daiso. Daiso is a shop selling all products from Japan with price all in RM5. Here I bought 3 pairs of socks :D

Around 3.30pm we reached Cititel Express Hotel Kota Kinabalu. The room is sooooo small =.=" but VERY CLEAN. Here is my room ....

Sabah :: 20 August 2012 :: Signal Hill Observatory Tower @ Kota Kinabalu

Next....after having lunch at Sri Melaka.... we are heading to Signal Hill Observatory Tower of Kota Kinabalu.... we reached here around 12.00 noon time.... 

From here...we can view most of KK city area and realized that KK is just located next to the sea ^^.... It was so hot on our first day of trip, but also it was windy when we were here @ Signal Hill.....

Sabah :: 20 August 2012 :: KKIA & Sri Melaka Restaurant @ Kota Kinabalu

Finally it was holiday again... Malay New Year holiday.... 

Family trip was arranged....and this time..the destined location is Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia with Daddy, Mommy, Elder Sister, and my niece, Chun Yan.

We depart from Kuching International Airport (Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia) at 9.05am and reached Kota Kinabalu International Airport at 10.20am by using MAS (Malaysia Airlines). Only took a pic at KKIA....I was really excited once I reached there for the first time....MY FIRST TRIP TO SABAH.....

The feeling was... SO GREAT!!!

Our tour guide + driver is Mr. Richard Chia... picking us up at airport..with his Toyota Innova (white). And our very first destination in KK was Sri Melaka Restaurant in Kota Kinabalu city center. We reached Sri Melaka at around 11.20am. Here...we had our lunch...and also our first try for KK's food.

Below....Honestly I don't know how to differentiate between shark fin soup and other egg soup @@ ... So I really didn't know what kind of soup this is.

Next... Minced-Pork Bean Curd... Well, I like this one.... because I am a fan of bean curd ^^

Fish Head Curry.... It doesn't have nice outer look....but I can say it is nice...  the soup is thick enough and the fish is so fresh....

TAAADDDAAAA.... Lemon Chicken.... I LOVE THIS....

Mixed Veggie.... this one normal....taste almost the same like the one cooked in other restaurant :D Still nice anyway.

My first lunch in KK....was a very great lunch... because I LIKE ALL THE FOOD SERVED FOR US... THEY ARE ALL MY FAVORITE!! And this yummy Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet ... hohoho

First Visit to D'Bamboo

First time visiting D'Bamboo, a shop selling dim sum and blended ice. Before entering a shop....I'm sure all of us will make a little expectation from the shop we are about to visit. Like for D'Bamboo..I thought I could find so many types of dim sum, I thought I can try so many kinds of blended ice. All those are just MY IMAGINATION....well we managed to order all kinds of the available blended ice (even just 3 flavors)

:: Rp 13.500 - A bit regret...it really has not much topping, but only jelly, chocolate-coated biscuit ball, chocolate roll, strawberry jam, and milk ::

:: Rp 8.000 - This one I can say...NICE...better than those two...It has more fillings....I forgot how many types, but of course still contains jelly and red beans.. ::

:: Rp 9.500 - The blended ice is made from milo..and it tastes better than Chocolate special's ice. But this one...is TOTALLY PLAIN...NO FILLINGS INSIDE..what the hell @@ ::

We also managed to order 2 out of 3 dim sum menus available, Ayam Jamur (mushroom+chicken), Ayam Udang (prawn+chicken), and Ayam Kepiting (crab+chicken). Because they didn't make Ayam Kepiting dim sum on the day we were there...so we ordered only Ayam Jamur and Ayam Udang.
